Challenges Of The New Tax Bill, A Citizen’s View: Created behind closed doors, rushed to the Senate floor in order to avoid a filibuster, and passed by a narrow margin, the so-called Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is expected to raise the federal debt by as much as $2 trillion over the next decade.
