22 Days To Go: Have We Reached Peak Ugly Yet? Democratic Perspective regulars Mike Cosentino, Gary LaMaster, and Steve Williamson, are joined by Susan Turnbull, former Vice-Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and former Chair of the DNC Women’s Caucus, for a discussion of the candidates, the issues, the polls, and the furor leading up to the final three weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign. We may never have seen a campaign quite like this one before, but even a brief review of American political history suggests that it’s not entirely out of character for an American electorate as deeply divided as ours is in this election year. The real question is this: will it really be over when it’s over? Unfortunately, given the passions already in play, we see little reason to believe it will be.
