Sustainable Development and Environmental Quality: Why They Matter. Democratic Perspective’s Gary LaMaster and Steve Williamson are joined by three members of the Sierra Club of Arizona: Sandy Bahr, Director of the Sierra Club’s Grand Canyon (Arizona) Chapter, with Brian Myers, and Carol Piszczek, the Chair and Secretary, respectively, of the Sedona-Verde Valley Group, to discuss the Sierra Club’s history in Arizona, its activities in defense of environmental quality and sustainability, and its challenges in dealing with an Arizona Legislature which seems fundamentally opposed to both.
