Arab Spring, Wall Street Autumn: Democratic Perspective co-hosts Mike Cosentino and Steve Williamson discuss what seems to be a new form of populist protest now springing up around the world. Is this a new people’s form of globalization, or is is just a flash in the pan? Despite significant cultural and national differences in the forms of dissent from one country to another, both the Arab Spring and the Occupy Wall Street protests do seem to express a common disenchantment with the excesses of international capital markets, and the political systems which support them.
